Giovanni Visone, geboren 1994 in Caserta (Italien), erhielt seine Ausbildung beim »Balletto di Toscana" (BDT) unter der Leitung von Cristina Bozzolini in Florenz. Ab 2012 war er Mitglied des Junior BDT und wirkte u.a. in den Produktionen »Coppelia« von Fabrizio Monteverde und »Giselle« von Eugenio Scigliano mit. 2015/2016 wurde er Mitglied der Delattre Dance Company in Mainz. Von 2016 bis August 2022 war Giovanni Mitglied des Ensembles der Staatsoper Hannover, zunächst unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Jörg Mannes und ab der Spielzeit 2019/2020 unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Marco Goecke. Seit September 2022 ist er Mitglied von Gauthier Dance / Theaterhaus Stuttgart. Im Laufe der Jahre hatte er die Gelegenheit, mit verschiedenen Choreographen zu arbeiten, darunter: Medhi Walerski, Hofesh Shechter, Jirí Kylián, Andonis Foniadakis, Sharon Eyal, Georg Reischl, Ohad Naharin, Mauro Bigonzetti, Sasha Waltz, Juliano Nunes, Hans Van Manen, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Nadav Zelner, Lukas Timulak und Marco Goecke. Als Choreograph nahm er mit seinem Solo »Grenen« am »Solocoreografico - Solo Dance Festival Frankfurt 2020« teil und erhielt den Preis für die beste Choreographie und den Publikumspreis. Mit dem Solo »32GG« erhielt er beim 36. Internationalen Choreografischen Wettbewerb Hannover Produktionspreise für das Theater Chemnitz und das Nationaltheater Mannheim.
